About Us
Background
The Gordon Woodworkers Club is based in the North East of Scotland. The club was formed in 2000 and has workshops located at Huntly, Leslie, near Insch and Pitmedden. We currently have more than 50 active members.
Our Aim
The Clubs aim is to promote woodworking as a recreation.
Workshop Facilities
All our workshops are fitted out with wood turning lathes, turning tools, grinders, bandsaws, workbenches and vices. All our members have full use of our extensive equipment and training is available if required.
Our Members' Work
Many of our members sell their high quality work to the public. They produce unique beautiful one-off, handcrafted wooden objects including: rocking horses, bowls and vases (many shapes and sizes), wall plaques, bird feeders, spinning wheels, chairs, stools and other unique carving projects.
Regular Events and Live Demonstrations
We regularly exhibit at gala days throughout Scotland - please see our News and Events and Future Events sections for details of future events as well as information about previous events.
